Neuromuscular Blocking Agents Will Not Carry Safety Alert Caps Due to COVID-19 Demand

In their June 4, 2020 Newsletter, the Institute for Safe Medication Practices (ISMP) announces vials of vecuronium bromide and rocuronium bromide will temporarily not carry the warning statement atop the vial caps. The COVID-19 demand for paralyzing agents in intensive care units and supply chain disruptions have contributed to shortage of these safety caps with embossed labeling.
