A global registry of healthcare workers who intubated patients with confirmed or suspected COVID-19 resulted in a prospective multicenter international cohort study which described a 3.1% risk of new lab-confirmed COVID-19 and an 8.4% risk of new symptoms requiring self-isolation or hospitalization (Study Link at Anaesthesia: HERE). During the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, an international team led by investigators at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospital in London and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine created a registry for healthcare workers (physicians, cRNAs, AAs, and others) to submit information on every intubation they perform in patients with COVID-19. The study included providers from several countries and serves areas or practices where practices may be at elevated risk.

This is an APSF-supported study. Please read more here: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/10.1111/anae.15170.
